Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, featuring a different top 10 theme each week. This week’s topic is Popular Books that Lived Up to the Hype.
For this topic, I could easily put down 20 books! I think a lot of books that I have read and enjoyed are ones that are popular and/or other reviewers/bloggers have raved about. Most of the time, I won’t read a book until I check Goodreads and see that some of my friends have enjoyed it. I trust my book friends opinions!
What is your favourite popular book?
I loved Da Vinci code .. ♥📖

I love! DaVinci Code, HP and the Hunger Games. I’ve only seen the Gone Girl movie and I personally wasn’t very impressed.

Fabulous choices. I have to say that I thought that the DaVinci Code broke my brain the first time that I read it.

I’m stoked – I’ve read most of these for once! Hahaha. I need to read more Liane Moriarty now that I’ve read Big Little Lies. And finish the Robert Langdon books, too!
Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!

I was actually surprised how much I enjoyed The Hunger Games. The majority of YA fiction I try to read is completely disappointing, but that one was surprisingly interesting. I can’t say the same for the sequels, but the first book was great!

I enjoyed the first book much more than the other two novels, but still really enjoyed the series overall.

Gone Girl is a great choice! Definitely hyped, and I loved it. It’s now my standard for a good domestic thriller…and unfortunately it’s hard to beat. HP, of course 🙂

I’ve read The Dry and Harry Potter, both superb books. I tried The Da Vinci Code but couldn’t get into it. I enjoyed the film though.

I think the film was very well done. It was nice being able to see the paintings and locations that were described in the novel.

The Great Alone is easily my favorite book of 2018, although it’s funny to see it on your list (for me), because I’d never read anything by this author previously and hadn’t heard any hype about the book! I requested it because of the setting, because I love Alaska, and ended up loving the story. Great list — of the ones I’ve read, I’ve loved them all!

That’s funny. I read her previous novel, The Nightingale and loved it! So I had super hyped the book up for myself!

Agree about a bunch of these! I was amazingly unspoiled for Gone Girl and always wondered if I would have liked it as much if that wasn’t the case. But it lived up to the hype regardless 🙂
