One of my favourite books of all time is Before I Go to Sleep. Because of the greatness of Before I Go to Sleep, I find that no other memory loss novels can compare. I keep waiting for a massive twist, but it doesn’t deliver.
I think my other problem with Her Perfect Lies was that it wasn’t believable. I would hope that if I was in the hospital from a car crash and loss my memory that my family would come and visit me more than once or twice. Also Claire was a bit too trusting of everyone, even those they showed that they didn’t care about her.
2 calculators out of a potential 5. Easy read, but had a predictable ending and my expectations are far too high for memory loss novels.
Thank you to Netgallery and HQ Digital for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
Too bad this didn’t measure up, nice review, Amanda.
