I love this topic! I’m currently planning a Europe trip for this summer, so I’m all about reading books about a different country.
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer & Annie Barrows – you may of never heard of Guernsey before reading this novel, but you’ll be wanting to go after you read it!
The Hiltons: A Family Dynasty by J. Randy Taraborrelli – after reading the history of Conrad Hilton, I wanted to take a trip around the world and see all of the beautiful hotels that he bought.
The Saving Graces by Patricia Gaffney – I love reading about beaches and there is something about female friends and beaches!
Local Girl Missing by Claire Douglas – The imagery in this book is beautiful! There is a small town on the water and an old Victorian pier…
The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah – a small village in France. France is one of the countries that I’ll be visiting this summer!
The Dry by Jane Harper – Australia! This would be a dream trip!
Murder in Little Italy by Victoria Thompson – I’ve been to New York City twice, but it’s a city that I could visit over and over again.
The High Tide Club by Mary Kay Andrews – another beach novel!
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone by J.K. Rowling – Obviously I would love to visit Hogwarts, but I would also love to see London.
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak – Germany is another country that I’ll be seeing this summer!

You fooled me with Hogwarts! Wasn’t expecting that but yes, I would like to go too – and anywhere on a beach, reading a book about a beach.

Good list! I’ve read The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, all of the Harry Potters, The Nightingale, and The Book Thief, and I agree that they are all wonderful!

Outlander made me want to visit historical sites in Scotland. And Wild made me want to quit my job and hike the Pacific Northwest Trail for months on end — a very inconvenient wanderlust.

I have been wanting to read book thief.. I like Michelle Moran’s books set in the ancient Egypt.. a place that i will dream about everytime I read her’s

Ah Germany is great (and The Book Thief is one of my favourite books), I hope you enjoy your trip! London is also great and there are many Harry Potter related places to visit, even if you can’t really go to Hogwarts (such a bummer).

I think my no1 would be Hogwarts, also 1920’s America with Newt in Fantastic beasts. I was last in London last year at Kings Cross. They have a great shop and half a trolley going into platform 9 and 3/4 that you can pose with.

If you get there then you should go to Harry Potter world. It was where they recorded most of HP and they have so many proper costumes on display and secrets of the filming, you can walk the great hall and the forbidden Forrest. Every time that I’ve had the chance to go but my co-blogger and daughter has been twice. (The 2 times I had the chance to go I ended up in hospital having surgery)

Great list. Although I would not say that the nightingale or the book thief made me want to travel to Europe, actually just finished the nightingale myself and liked it
