Top Ten Tuesday – Books I Really Liked but Can’t Remember Anything/Much About

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl, featuring a different top 10 theme each week. This week’s topic is a Freebie, so I decided to use one of the past TTT topics – Books I Really Liked but Can’t Remember Anything/Much About.

I’m the worst at remembering what happens in a book! Unless it’s a book that I really loved, I won’t remember the details.

The books below are ones that I have read within the last 5 years and surprisingly gave 4 stars on Goodreads. If we were having a conversation about the book, I would have to ask you to give me a summary and then we would play a game of 20 questions, where I would try to guess what happened. It probably wouldn’t go that well…

 

Legend by Marie Lu – I remember loving this series, but I have no idea what happened, not just in the first book, but in the whole series. Wasn’t there a really smart girl who teamed up with a “rebel” type guy? Ohhh wait, I remember the ending of the series…

Love, Rosie by Cecelia Ahern – I don’t remember this book at all! Based on the description, friends are turned into lovers, but before they get too serious, his family moves to another county and she gets pregnant by another guy. I’m assuming that they end up getting together at the end. Maybe?

Remember Me by Mary Higgins Clark – I went through a big MHC phase, where I read a ton of her books back to back. This book doesn’t stand out to me, I remember that the 2 storylines come together, but I have no idea how.

The Cuckoo’s Calling by Robert Galbraith – I really enjoy JK Rowling’s mystery series, but it’s hard to remember what happened when the books are released so far apart. To be honest, I enjoy Strike and Robin more than the mystery!

The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd – I remember really enjoying this book and I was amazed that it was based on a true story, but other than that I’m drawing a blank.

The Last Coyote (Harry Bosch #4) by Michael Connelly – this goes for all Bosch books. I really enjoy them when I’m reading them and they are complex mysteries, but once they are over I forget all the details.

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern – other than circus and magic, I have no idea.

Vicious by V.E. Schwab – About 2 college students who were interested in supernatural events. There was a big fight between good and evil, but on who wins, I have no idea!

Where They Found Her by Kimberly McCreight – I really loved McCright’s first novel, Reconstructing Amelia. Where They Found Her had a good mystery, but it didn’t have the same lasting impression as Reconstructing Amelia.

While You Were Sleeping by Kathryn Croft – I only read While You Were Sleeping a year and a half ago, so it’s bad that I can’t remember what happened. A woman wakes up with her neighbour’s dead body beside her. I remember it being a good mystery that was really twisty, but I don’t remember the details behind the twists.

Well those are some of my books that I enjoyed, but can’t remember! I think if I were to re-read the some of the books, it would feel like I was reading them for the first time.
